Made of 5 mil (125 microns) durable and elastic Mylar.

This stencil is based on original vintage advert of French beauty product for removing skin imperfections.
The text says:

The Candès company was based at Boulevard Saint-Denis and was indeed established in 1848.
A bottle of their product costed in Britain staggering five shillings and three pence.
I found the Candès website run by descendants of the original manufacturers and this is what they say about their product:
